Netflix’s Jessica Jones manages to do what Blade Runner never did: successfully blend noir with another geeky genre and have it be nothing short of spectacular. It’s tightly structured, but still feels organic. It has attitude without being obnoxious. Style without being gimmicky. Fun without being cheesy. And a villain that is super-interesting, but doesn’t steel the limelight away from the main character.
If you haven’t checked out J-Jo, do yourself a favor. Put the rest of the Internet down and fire up Netflix. Immediately.
